André studied law at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1980 and a Bachelor of Law degree in 1982. Following 16 years as partner of a law firm in Cape Town, he has held positions as foreign counsel for law firms in Switzerland since 2008, and joined Lenz Caemmerer in 2011. With experience as a trademark practitioner fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Lawyers and associate member of the Institute of Trade Mark Agents in the UK, he specialises in copyright, trademarks and commercial contracts, and was appointed as executive director for LC Markenpraxis GmbH in 2016.
A born and bred Basler, Damian was admitted to the bar in 2005 and obtained his Doctorate in Law from the University of Basel in 2009. With several publications in the fields of intellectual property law and litigation, he has been with Lenz Caemmerer since 2009 and has been a partner since 2017. He has been serving as executive director for LC Markenpraxis GmbH since 2016.
René obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Pretoria in 2010. She joined Lenz Caemmerer in 2013, and has published articles in the field of Intellectual Property Law. In 2016, she completed a Master of Science degree through the University of Liverpool, and became executive director at LC Markenpraxis GmbH.
